The healthcare system in Turkey mainly operates with three different types of hospitals: public, university and private. While social and health securities are governed in essence by the state, it is also possible to have private health insurance.

The majority of hospitals in Turkey, both public and private, are either meeting or surpassing international standards in equipment quality and expertise.

Health sector which keeps growing with each passing day, is in remarkably good condition in terms of healthcare personnel and equipment adequacy. The latest technological developments in the sector are closely followed and applied.

The level of health standards in Turkey has significantly raised in recent years. Eventhough quality certifications are based on voluntary basis, the number of accredited healcare institutions is increasing alittle bit more with each passing day.
